Answering the Call to Motherhood
Becoming a mother is one of the greatest callings of my life. It has changed my perspective on time, priorities, and the fleeting nature of the little moments. As a girl mom of one-soon-to-be-two daughters, I have the privilege of raising strong, kind, and resilient women. They will be my greatest teachers, reminding me daily of the beauty in curiosity, patience, and unconditional love.
Motherhood has also made me more intentional. It has taught me to savor the in-between moments—the snuggles before bed, the peals of laughter during bath time, the quiet mornings before the world wakes up. This awareness naturally spills into my work, where I strive to capture these very moments for other families through my lifestyle newborn and family photography images.
Building a Business with Heart
My journey as an Austin motherhood and branding photographer began with a love for storytelling. As I grew in my craft, I realized that what I truly wanted was to freeze time for families, to preserve the fleeting seasons as they come, and to create images that bring joy for generations. Lessons from Both Worlds
Motherhood and entrepreneurship have taught me invaluable lessons:
Flexibility – Every day is different, whether with my kids or in my business. Learning to pivot gracefully is key. My previous life as an ER nurse helps with this immensely!
Patience – Growth takes time, both in business and in motherhood. The late nights and hard moments are all part of the journey. Know that each season is temporary and that the difficulties keeping you up at night right now will ultimately be woven into the fabric of your amazing story.
The Power of Community – Surrounding myself with other Austin moms and fellow business owners has been such a game changer. We aren’t meant to live this life alone—as we’re walking through motherhood or growing our businesses.
